The MURLAC Water Filled Temporary Cofferdam system is a standalone portable dam which is easy to transport, install and remove. The Water Dam from MURLAC is ideal for creating dry working areas in rivers, lakes and canals as well as diverting water to reduce flow rates to allow work to be undertaken.
Water Dam is a self contained structure, designed to control and divert water. Water Dam is manufactured from a heavy weight nylon reinforced material. Our material is three times as strong as our competitors, although our prices are very competitive.
Stability for the Water Filled Dams is created by either one or two integral baffles which are fixed to the top and bottom of the cofferdam. When water is present only on one side of the dam, the baffle locks and prevents the cofferdam from rolling. The inner baffle(s) inside the Water Dam is the key behind why the dam works.
Manufactured from a heavy duty mesh, allowing the water to move between the two cells. The baffle in the Water Dam is unique in its construction.
The design and manufacturing team at Water Dam improved the integral strength of the baffle and outer material and changed how the two were attached. We are yet to find a test which can separate the baffle from the Dam wall.
JOINING WATER FILLED DAMS
Water Dams can be joined to form any length or configuration by simply overlapping the Water-Dam prior to filling them with water. This ensure a water-tight seal is created.

The Water Inflated temporary dam from MURLAC exceeds the stringent requirements for Environment Agency, SEPA and fishery water requirements.
CUSTOM MANUFACTURING
The Water Dam can be made to order with choices including location and number of fill ports, colour and size.
STANDARD WATER FILLED DAM HEIGHTS AND LENGTHS AVAILABLE
Our water filled portable dams are available in heights from 60cm to 2.40 metres. Our standard lengths shown in the table below, however part or a dam can be used for smaller areas such as ditches. The Water Dams can be overlapped in any direction to create various configurations and any length. We are able to manufacture dams to meet customer requirements, including additional lifting loops, filling and drain ports and types.
